Well here I sit for the evening. It's so damn windy it feels like the tree I'm sitting in is gonna snap in half. We'll see what happens. Good luck everyone.

Here's my 2 cents, there should be a rule about no smart phone used while hunting. If you ask me if your just on your phone while hunting why not just stay home? On monday evening i had a deer sneek up right behind me, as i went for my phone i made a bit of a noise the deer busted me. If it wern't for my **** phone i would have a deer down.
So i have decided to only use my phone for checking the time. but still this thread is intresting.:busted:

And who would enforce this rule? The Internet police? If you ask me there is no better place to enjoy bh.com that 20 feet off the ground in mother nature.

Just had a small doe come crashing in right under my stand! Hopped around for 20 seconds then bounded away. Must have gotten bumped by something. Almost had a shot but she was too riled up.

Settled in for the evening on an inside corner of a standing corn field. Not my first choice but with the wind direction and speed, it's my only choice.

Huge cloud front moved in. It's like someone flipped a switch - just had a little button buck pass in front of me and so the small doe from earlier.

1 hour until sunset. Hope something bigger shows up.

Ever have an evening where you just know you're wasting your time in a spot? Tonight is that night...25mph+ gusts, edge of a corn field when there is a bumper crop of acorns, etc.

I popped up a ground blind in a new piece of public in what seems to be a deer highway. I'm not too confident about my set up but the wind today left me no choice.

first day I have been out in almost a week. the farm I am hunting this evening is home to target #2 and #3. wind was wrong for #1.

I am 12 days into the season, not quite ready to start putting down doe, but if # 3 comes this way...

Not much since the decent buck earlier. Home safe though so was a good hunt.

Had a big doe come in at 20 yards, and I don't know what happened, but I'll be the man and admit... I missed.
