Got my wifes cousin up in the buddy stand with me. He's been wanting to get into bowhunting so figured I'd show him what its about. Hope we get some action!

Finally settled. I have to say this setup is a first - hanging in a tree over a creek. Great view and cover though.

Deer on the move. Fawn at 35 and saw two does about 60 away. Disappeared into a thick spot but they gotta come out soon.

I just had some ahole ride up to my stand on a quad. Its private property that is posted. I think the jag off was gonna steal my stand if I wasnt here. I scared the crap out of him when he actually saw me up here. He wasnt just joy riding, he came right to my tree like he's done it before.

Some people suck, right during prime time!

I had a few choice words with him, I got my point across very clearly to him. I couldnt believe it though, it even surprised me. Sucks because this a good spot and I cut out of work early to hunt it.

Tell me about, ahhh, the joys of hunting urban properties.

I guess this could of happened anywhere though.

Want help tracking him down? Wonder how he would feel if his quad up and disapeared? He can't be too far away....

Had a good evening! Saw a total of two fawns and two does. Never got closer than 35 yds though so no shot. This cooler weather has made some changes for sure.

A lot of the open area grasses i've been hunting are going dormant so everything looks a lot less green. I watched the does feed on standing corn all night so I think i'll switch to another location and hunt over corn tomorrow evening. They totally ignored the corn earlier in the season.

The corn on this property looks poor to say the least - looks like a lot of it barely grew. I wonder / hope the farmer will just leave it all and cut it down late. That would make for some fantastic late season hunts.

Good luck to all those fortunate enough to get out in the woods this morning. Be safe. :)

Well wind was borderline for the stand I wanted to hunt so decided to hunt a less likely spot. Figure here is a higher chance then the couch. Well know in 7 hours or less...

Thanks bud! Almost had a quick hunt. Had a decent 120" 8pt come in. He was chasing 2 doe and grunting like crazy. Never offered a shot though. Odd to me though that a 3.5 year old buck would be up at 1230 grunting and putting his face up does...you know what...in early Oct. Hope they come back.

I say go for it. If u don't see anything at least u know u wouldn't have seen anything. That way u won't be sitting around wondering if u would have seen anything if u don't go. :)
