Got in stand about 15 minutes ago. Seen 4 deer cross the road off the property when i got here. Had a doe blow at me as I was nearing my stand. About to stop hunting the week leading up to and following the full moon. Hopefully an hour to calm down is enough.

I decided to not go out this morning. Warm temps and crazy fog this morning. I'll be out there this evening again though asking as the rain holds off. Good luck everyone hunting this morning. Be safe

Settled in. I got lazy this morning and went to a doe stand. Crisp out at 34 deg. Most of the leaves are off now.

Just figured out why I havent seen a deer yet. I got real tree leafy suit pants on, real tree non leafy hoody, and predator spring green gloves. I clearly do not match :banghead:

Your low temp is warmer than my forecast high. Currently about 35 with patchy frost, supposed to get into the low 50's.

Well guys, it got a little bit warmer 15 mins ago. And i knew this crap would happen. I had this guy at 23 yards. He was casually strolling along as i was eyeing him with the binos. I honestly could have gotten a shot off if i wanted but didn't want to stop him in fear of making a bad shot. I feel rushed when i stop a deer. He gets further along behind some brush and then the second guessing hit me. Oh well, there's a bigger one in here I'm after.

Are you sure you couldn't get your pink Snuggie off fast enough and THAT is why you didn't get a shot?

I am a little pissed with myself BUT I'd really hate myself if i didn't immediately kill a doe after taking this buck. Have to kill a doe before taking a second buck. Its bit me in the behind before.
