Little bit of a late start this morning. Just parked the truck, gonna get dressed and head to the stand. Gets light around 7.
First sit back by the pond. Leaves on the ground are chruchy. Beautiful out here to tonight. Low 60's. Wish me luck. Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
Back in the same stand I missed a doe out of Saturday evening. I thought maybe I put the wrong pin ion her, but it actually looks like I might have deflected off a small dead branch. Here my point of view from the shot. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Seen 3 doe by 6:00. On came from down wind and stood at the base of my tree but never came out in the open. Still have my fingers crossed for more action. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
Just saw one fawn go running by tonight. Kids playing at the house behind me spooked it. Didn't see momma though. There was thunder & lightning, so I got outta there! There was the friendly neighborhood DNR officer waiting for me when I got back to my vehicle! Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk 2
Guess he was just waiting to check my license and managed hunting area permit. Oh, and out of genuine concern for my well being, of course! He was pretty cool though. Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk 2
Yeah, that was my first run in with them this season. We talked for a few minutes. Hunters on other forums have mentioned doubt about big bucks being in the public land out here. He thinks differently. Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk 2
Man this thread is going to be overloaded in a few days. With a bunch of states opening this weekend and a few more on Monday...things are gonna start getting hard to keep up with here!
