The bottom pictures I think are the biggest. He looks to be somewhere In that 200lb range. Nothing to big yet has showed up.
Back In 1995 there was bear all over up there. A few times we bumped bear out going In. I've heard cracks with In 50 yards while rebaiting the bait and I've heard them spook close to the bait when walking In but haven't saw a bear at a bait while walking In since 95.
great pics schultzy !!!!! what kind of goodies you got in the burlap sack?? neat to see some logs over the bait. we used to always make log "V" s but don't see that done that often anymore. whatare you using under the logs? any meat scraps?
Holy crap this makes me wish we had bear around where i hunt. The bear standing up against the tree like that would make a freakin awesome mount !
Thank you. Meat/fat trimmings from the butcher. Yep, V's work well. The big logs keep the smaller critters from stealing all the bait. Also with the direction we lay the logs we can position the bear to where we want them when we shoot. Meat/fat trimmings, trail mix, donuts, granola, fruit snacks, mints. About 70 pounds worth under the logs. Yes sir Jim. 1st bobcat picture I've ever gotten. Hoping to get a mountain lion pic some year. Thanks everyone.
