I was looking to get a second bow as a backup bow, and also while I'm waiting for parts on my xforce. I held the 2011 Brute at the bowshop the other day, and was impressed although I didn't shoot it. I'm looking for a moderatedly priced bow/package as a second bow. Anyone had any experience with the new brutes, or something equivalent in price range? Just looking for opinions. Thanks.

I have an older brute that I love. I bought it because I broke a limb on my old bow and I needed a relatively cheap bow to get me through the season until I could afford the one I really wanted. In the end I was so happy with the bow I decided to keep it. It shoots 275fps with 400grain arrow at 29". Another nice one is the pse stinger which isnt quite as fast and doesnt come with a string suppresor but my dad has one as a backup and he really likes it and its cheaper than the brute. Both bows are really quiet.

I have a 2011 PSE Nova, fully loaded, it was $400 out the door. I bought it as a backup bow and I love it.
