I could be looking at this all wrong. But, if you're trying to get an accurate measure of your hunting arrow's (or target....whichever is the case) FOC, wouldn't the actual tip you're going to be using be more than just an important piece of the puzzle....but a VITAL piece?

I mean....whichever your'e measuring, the balance point will be affected. In the case of the hunting setup....the actual length of the BH will alter your balance point.

    Am I missing something, here?

    LMAO?? Sure............. (Peggy)

FWIW....I never claimed you did (though, it's acceptable in method 2)

Why the you and your friends BS stuff?

There Is no standard either. I just never realized the number of people who do not Include their BH or tip with their measurements In figuring out their FOC. Not a big deal.

Like I said, I didn't realize some people are using the method In which you don't use the tip/BH.

Lol!! Yes Jeff I use the tip/BH In measuring my arrow length. What confused the heck out of me right away was when MeanV said he had nearly 20% of FOC. If I would've known he was using the other method I wouldn't of been scratching my head wondering what I was doing wrong. In no way am I saying what's right or wrong. It's just the method that I prefer.

No problem. I'll try to add updates as the guy does his review. So far he tested them just on a target and was grouping very well out to 40. He will be doing some neat penetration tests with them.

I saw a penetration test with an arrow designed just like that and they were great!! they blew through plywood with ease...i just dont get how much it affects penetration when there is a huge broadhead on the front.

I know someone who shot a Victory VAP V1 (similar to the harvest time but pricier) through a 50 gal. drum and half way through a 2x4 after that, only things that were damaged is the nock and vanes, i kid you not.
