Thanks everyone! As you know Christine I've had nothing but trouble with that milk truck of mine the last 6 weeks. A week after I ordered this new Ford Is when **** hit the fan and the problems started with my milk truck. $15,000.00 dollars later most of the problems have been fixed. I'm broke, 100 fricking percent broke. Thank god though I had 2 credit cards with hardly much on them. I ended up loading them up and I'm now making big credit card payments. Not much else I could've done. If I would've known the milk truck problems were coming, I never would've ordered this Ford. It was nice though seeing my new truck. 1st smile I've put on In a long time.

    Thanks again everyone.

Out of curiosity, what did you get for powerplant and options? Someone else I know is starting to inquire about the Ecoboost twin turbo V6 that's going into the F150's.

I'm a cargo van guy due to hauling my race motorcycles. But, after having got stuck a couple of times checking out some hunting spots, I'm considering going to a 4x4 truck with a topper and an enclosed trailer.

I drive about 35 miles one way to work, so fuel efficiency is becoming more important as prices are clibming.

I've heard things about that eco boost that makes me drool. I hope it lives up to the hype because that very well may be my next engine.

You asking the about size of motor? If so I'm getting the 6.2 gas. 385 HP with 405 lbs of torque. I got the Lariat. I pretty much loaded this truck full minus a back up camera.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm still skeptical about it due to it being very new and I've been screwed a time or two buying vehicles with first gen engines.

But, if it holds out, it's very likely a possibility. Although, if Ford ever puts a mid sized diesel in their trucks, I might go that route. I'm looking at a Ranger as a possibility. That with the Ecoboost or a smaller diesel and oh my...

Yep. Powerplant/powertrain = engine and transmission

Thanks. I saw the F350 turbo diesel at the Deer expo this past weekend and was liking it a lot. But, at $40K, hard to justify.

Just in case others are curious about the Ecoboost:
