mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn oh mannnnnnnnnnn this has taken off already?????! well i'm gonna do my best this year to step up my game a bit. Tank (littleshooter) has a few yrs under her belt now and am confident she'll arrow one, leaving me to start searching. not gonna sit here and say who's gonna win but i will say its gonna be FUN!!!!!!!!!
So does that mean bowhunting is going to be competitive for you guys? I seem to remember another thread regarding this topic: http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?t=21684&highlight=competition
Sure overall it is a competition but you'll find that most people on here are quick to pat others on the back when they have success.
My days of competing are over, you young guys take over for me. One man should have a lifetime limit and I feel I've done to much killing. I'm planning on scaling back the operation to only what I want to take and not focusing on filling tags.
It's not really a competition Obsessed. It's just a great way to get closer to some of your forum members.. I have met some good folks in this "contest". It's all.. and only.. in the name of fun.
Exactly .... everyone hunts for themselves and however that plays out, scores are added and the luck of the draw determines which team scores the.highest ... it is so much fun .... especially when you win
You got that right PT! We are all gunning for you and your slacker team! As they say what goes up must come down!
I dont know if you would call it competition or not but there is a TON of trash talk. Yes we are fast to congrat's anyone who puts up some good deer. We are all rooting for each other for great bucks but we also talk some tall talk too on who is better. LOL
How can you be tired of the belly aching you stated you haven't been on in weeks.:p I should be tired of it.
Well there is some new blood on the site that will make this contest pretty interesting if a few of us end up on the same team
This season will be monumental, some great deer will fall for sure. The filming team has grown, and we are obtaining new members on the forums daily. I think this is gonna be one heck of a season around here. I know im gonna give it my all as well as all of you surely will also.
I was just giving y'all crap about the competition stuff. I'd like to be involved in the contest, but I didn't have any plans for taking a buck this season.
PT I was thinking about the same thing! I bet if a monster walked by you would tag it. Am I right? I think we all look for nice bucks but yes I am also for the meat but if a nice one walks by it is a gonner! I have killed 21 antlerless deer and 8 bucks with antlers. I have two nice bucks on the wall with my first ever buck on the wall a 5 point. I have killed some average size bucks that were close to wall hangers but just not there for my book. So that tells you I am out for the meat but a buck would be a nice topper.
This might sound blasphemous but I don't even really want a deer mount on my wall. If I was to take a buck, which I'm sure at some point I will, I'd use the antlers for something. I've always wanted to make my own knife with an antler handle. If I see a buck with a goofy rack, I'm more likely to take him so that he doesn't pass his genetics on. That's not a bad thing, that just means there's more good looking bucks out there for everybody else.
Who feels let down by the lack of content in the returning champ's posts? In the past defenders of such crowns made posts that were cheeky and fun. Team 6's posts are cruel and tragic. Hey PT, what's the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy stuff on the walls and mozzerella sticks? Yeah, we all got a little tired of hearing it from even the Dark Horses, but at the end of the day we knew that they had a legitimate chance to continue the stomping. Personally, I can't wait to invite Hunter Dan in to my workspace.
