I didn't enter a buck last fall just so you guys could catch up to the pile of deer I've entered through the years.

    ..cough.. cough..

So I gather it is bucks only and the biggest buck? Or the most bucks? I have a feeling this is going to be fun to watch. Knowing my luck, I will harvest a 180" and not even be participating. My plan is to get rid of some does this year so I wouldn't be much of any good to a team. I hope you all have a great season.

Since we have so many softies around here.... And they yipped like little old ladies fighting over the last cup of warm milk at nap time, does are included in the contest.

1 buck and 1 doe per person. 10 people per team. Scoring goes off of the P&Y scoring system. The gross score is used. Does are worth 50 points.

The team with the most points in the end wins.

Sorry for all the questions but, I am starting to get a little more interested in this. So when you score a buck, is that it? Meaning, If you score a 120 and enter it, then score say a 150, is the 120 it or would the 150 replace the 120? Do they have to be scored through a P&Y official scoring station?

You can only enter one buck and it has to be the first buck that you shoot to make it fair for states that only allow one buck tag per year.

You can have it offical scored but you don't have to. Just score it yourself and keep it honest. if you don't know how... Buckeye has a scoring thread in the whitetail hunting section to help you and a lot of guys will help on the forums if you still have a question.

We are on the honor system here and everyone is very good at abiding to it. There are quite a few guys on here that are very good at estimating score going by a picture. Cheater aren't welcome here.

Justin wants 2 pictures of your buck with you and your bow in it. Same applies for the doe. No exceptions !!!!

It is a very fun contest.

Most guys on here are very honest, even when they are competing against you. I first scored my last year's buck at 124 4/8". Several guys PM'd me when they noticed I had forgot to measure the cir. between the G-3s and the end of the main beam. That gave me an additional 5 1/8".

I'd be willing to put together a "rookie" team for us newcomers.
Stick if you want in, I'll go with you.

How many people are on a team?

The admins will assign teams off of the sign-up list. 10 people per team. Check out this archived forum for the official rules from the 2010 contest...
