The Element is a Nice Bow! I have several on order for customers already. Another bow I am excited to shoot is a Maitland Retribution. After I shoot the Retribution I will decide if my personal bow this year will be a Hoyt Element or the Maitland Retribution. If anyone is in my area and wants to shoot one send me a PM. I have several on order and they are due to dock soon! Dan
The carbon element felt good in my hand but I was afraid to shoot it because if I fell in love with it I'd have a problem on my hands as the price is so steep. That's what happened with the z7x... I spent enough on that but I'm very happy with my decision. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
My Mathews Z9 arrived today!!!!!! So nice, I cannot wait to start shooting. Also picked up the Axion 5 pin sight in Lost Camo, super bright pins. This bow is going to be lethal.
I do have a CE and I am very impressed with it.Yes,it is more expensive but top of the line usually is.Hoyt gives you many options in all price ranges.
crx is almost the same bow, same cams and limbs but alum riser. I shot the element but couldnt get myself to like the riser design, just me
Todd, The Element is one sweet bow and I'm sure Hoyt is selling them as fast as they can make them. I know they are still running 4 to 5 weeks on orders. I'll either be shooting a Hoyt Element or a Maitland Retribution this year. Maybe both if I'm Lucky! The Element has a lot of neat features. A local guy that was Amateur shooter of the year in 2010 is now shooting an Element and he told me it is the best shooting hunting bow he has ever had in his hands. The groups I've seen him shoot at 80 yards are scary! I can't even see that far Dan
This IS a MAJOR difference.(not that the CRX is not a great bow) This riser is stiff beyond compare and the balance and hold of such a light bow is mind boggling and yes, there is a VERY NOTICEABLE difference in weight when you actually are holding the bows.Especially when you deck it out with the carbon accessories. I shot a 3-d tourney the other day and had NO left right issues all day and I had just set the bow up.Actually finished sighting in at the shoot. My misses were yardage misses. OH,and the bow tunes awesome as well. Here is the paper I got with it. After a SLIGHT adjustment to the rest (broadhead WAS 2" low at 22 yards)NOW,this is what the broadhead and fieldpoint look like together in the target. Hoyt definitely hit it out of the park with this one.
Dan,I LOVE my AM 35 and hunted with it again this year, even though I had a Maxxis 31(hated that bow) and now,I don't even want to shoot it.I pick up the CE and I believe I will do the same even when the "new" wears off.
Todd, After shooting the CE for the first time I told Greg "Hoyt is going to sell a Ton of these bows" I Agree I think the light weight and super stiff riser has a lot to do with the way this bow holds and shoots Dan
My $0.02: There is no bow, arrow, sight or broadhead on the market that will be the difference between you filling your tag and eating the soup. People who are skilled at finding big deer kill big deer. They could be driving around in a Ford Fiesta, shooting a 1994 Riptide, and they'll find a way to kill a big buck. They don't need a $50,000 diesel pickup or a $10,000 Bad Boy Buggy, or a $200 dozen of arrows or a $2000 bow. Those things are just window dressing. It's not the bow, brother. It's the indian. Personally, hell will freeze over before I pay more for a bow than I could pay for a decent hunting trip or an acre of hunting land. It's just that simple. I think you guys are brain-damaged for paying that much money for a bow. I guess there's a sucker born every minute.
This is why you are trusted. You just say it the way you feel it, no matter what. You just don't see that with the other brands. Its so refreshing. Your one of the main reasons I switched to hoyt. And sure don't regret it.
