i have never seen bows so high they have bows that are 1200 from hoyt and 2000 from mathews what are they thinkin when they raise the prices that high we dont make enough to get the best so we settle for what is the best in our price range if it would be the mathews z7extream or the hoyt crx32. i wanna know what bow you got for the 2011 season weather its new or not i am still goin to use my ultra sport to hunt with but most of the time its my crx32
I'm getting a z7 xtreme here in about 2 weeks. I get what you're saying. The bows are very expensive. However, think about it... The market has demanded the bows get faster, quieter, lighter, more aesthically pleasing. The technology, research and development cost of these things is outrageous, and the market isn't giving the manufacuture a chance to recover the cost. Think of it like cars, their prices can be rather stable because the manufacture can plan on spreading the research and development cost out over perioud of years. Ford used the fox body chassis in mustangs from 79 to 04. Now look at Mathews, they introduced the z series what, last year? Now they have one that shoots 330 ibo at 28 inch ata and you can bet they'll be expected to step it up for next year. Same with all manufacturers. I didn't mean to rant, just making a point. Costs will keep going up until the market can stabilize. Personally, it's time for me a new bow. Yes i'm going to pony up the funds for a new z7x, but it's because i've been smart with my money, worked my tail off for it, and it's going to be used for years.
There is nothing wrong with my destroyer 340 from last year. I am planning on using it for another 5+ years atleast. With a new bow being in the $1200-$1500 range setup I'd rather do an extra DIY hunt out of state than get the "best" bow out.
I struggled with dropping that much cash on a new bow. I went with the z7x, and then went and bought the arrow web quiver and axion stabalizer... another $200 there. Ill have this set up for at least 5+ years. In the end it came down to what I really wanted. I spent the extra money and got a set up that wouldn't have me contemplating buying something different in a year or two of having it. The z7x was I huge upgrade for me and I couldn't be more pumped to get in the field! Spring Turkey is only 2 months away!!! Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
I shot this when looking for new bows and quite honestly, I didn't like it. I know it's all personal feel. It felt amazing until I hit the release. Strange I know.
Still shooting my 2009 Ross Cardiac and 2010 Quest Smoke. I think marketing is to blame for the high cost of bows. Someone has to pay for all those commercials and ads. The other thing is the perception of quality. Most people beleive quality costs money. If they took that $2100 Mathews and sold it brand new for $400, you'd wonder what was wrong with it.
when u get it in....il give ya 40 bucks =[] no more elite? =[ i guess that lock up turned you away didnt it
I was going to get the carbon element but it was out of my pricerange once it was set up. My crx32 cost less than the carbon element after it was set up that's why I got it
Hunting and 3D with my '07 Cardiac (bought used in '08) and targets (Field, Spots, FITA) with my '09 Truth 2. I'd like to get a target bow but the T2 shoots extremely well (wish I could say the same about me), and I can't see dropping $1000+ on another bow.
