Well if you like long storys then read on :D If you remember the post I made weeks ago about taking advantage of neighboring properties then you seen the map where It went down. I had been looking at a bottleneck that was 1.2 miles back, just at the tail end of our lease. Theres still hundreds of acres still connected to the back side that dont see much pressure so after hunting this morning I decided to check it out. I was pleasently suprised to find 20-25 new fresh scrapes in a 100 yard area and Rubs everywhere, some very Big. I even found an old Shed 12" from one scrape off a 100" buck. I found a flat ridge amoungst all the spoil bank hills as this is old strip mine ground and picked out a tree. At first I was going to do another morning hunt then move a hang on to this place and give it a go. I couldnt stand not getting in there so I decided on a now plan. I would pack my climber in the 1.2 miles, hunt it and leave it for the next morning. Then if not doing any good, go ahead and move hang on in and pack climber back out. Now lets back up until this morning. I woke up and had that feeling that this was the day. I get this sometimes and its usually spot on. Well I didnt see anything this morning but found the shed so when I got home I told the wife well I guess my feeling was for the Shed I found,,,wrong,,, :tu: Back to story, I make the long hike, set up, read a text from Greg/Mo and reply. I turn around and see this buck at 60 yards, I have only been there 10 minutes. My phone buzzes again so I put it on silent mode. As im looking through the trees im thinking ok he looks to be 125" but as he gets closer I see short brows and notice he has lack of spread. There were two red flags and I was still thinking ok maby 120" and decided to take him after turning him down from 2 shot opportunities. I think one thing that made my decision was the lack of Bucks I have seen this year and most have been Dinks. He was # 15 this season and most seasons im at around 30 different bucks at this point. So any way He is facing away, I try to turn him with a mahhh, he wont so I put the exact same shot on him as Buck last season. facing away it entered far back in the ribs and stopped in the brisket. He made it 40 yards and piled. Well after walking up somehow he shrunk :violin: This is the first time I have had that happen but man it is what it is . Ill tape him tomorrow and see. So here is seinfeld named after the episode where George explaines shrinkage :tu: Christine ask If I poured cold water on him :tu:

Nice job on the buck crick. You can't kill a monster every year. He's still a good buck.
