2009 North East (the town) 2nd Annual GTG - PICS ARE UP !!

Well Day 1 has passed and everyone had arrived by 6pm.....and of course the smack talk about todays shoot began

It was nice seeing everyone again as we all caught up on some things, shared a few good hunting stories and discussed what will hopefully be another good hunting season. I can still taste the bologna that Doug and Rob passed around....boy does Rob like Garlic !! PA Doug and I pulled out the TV/DVD player and threw in the final edit of my Colorado elk hunt.....you knew I couldn't go without talking elk hunting....and speaking of that, we have concerns about Ohio Dougs fire starting skills for his upcoming trip this fall..

We had a good time last night which carried on well past 1:00am. However we did notice that Ohio Doug had fallen asleep in his chair......we think he just ran out of gas.

So with that, we all went in our directions for a half nights rest before the big shoot.....now all I can say is that they were to be here at 8, but Josh was....well...you know where...and they didn't want to leave him two years in a row.

Its off to Freeport for breakfast and over to Dave's by 10am for the shoot....elk burgers are ready for this afternoon's lunch !

no Germ did not show up. it rain some but not enough to hold anything up to much.

Someone will have the same damn rock again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well its not really a rock...but speaking of rock I do have to say that it was one heck of a concert .....we were sworn to not leak out anything but since MudShark let out who won, I guess one picture won't hurt......

Well the 2nd annual has passed, and it was a great time seeing everyone. I know that everyone took alot of pics and will post some up later, but all in all it was a great time.

We did some 70 yard shots on a bear and the famous 100 yard, which this years target was the Black Buck...and with the wind made it challenge.

 

Sounds like you guys had a heck of a time, Rob does have some awesome garlic bologna. I guess I have to look at that rock at my local shop for another year. Maybe next year I can finally get my butt up there and try to change it's home.

 

Big Rob did it again, took the field but he left the door open and Doug was on his heals.

Josh took it on the 100 yarder and only had a 40 yard pin !!!!

Rybo and I had a chance at the Corn Hole Championship but Tomkat and OHbowhntr ranked #1....

We ate like champions thanks to Doug our host and of course some good ole elk burgers...

Top 10 things I learned !

1) Number 1, these are the best group of guys to hang out with.
2) Chris as well as other PA State Police and other state employees are working without a paycheck.
3) Rob makes incredible Garlic Bolgana
4) Doug (our host) makes excellent brownies
6) Doug (OH) will probably never own anything other than a Hoyt
7) Josh is in love !!!
8) Rybo is good under pressure when playing corn hole
9) Rob PA will argue that he didn't have a mulet
10)Rob PA has an incredible memory when it comes to targets and where they were

How awesome was that weekend?!! And the band totally rocked! what a surprise And my girl insists that I tell you that she loves #7, Rob -lmao

 

We debated on telling you guys ahead of time, but thought it would be a good suprise. However had I known that Rob may have grown the mullet, I would of said something.

Josh glad you made it.....but I will hate to see your cell phone bill..:d
