Kinda slow for me too. I just haven't been out as much as I would have liked yet. 5 sits, seen deer on 4 of them, passed one opportunity at some slickheads and haven't had another one yet. Seen one decent 2.5yr 8pt from stand, thats the only racked buck. Hoping to get out more - but my kids sports schedule has really messed me up this year....but its all good. I still have plenty of time.

Killed a doe the first week on my main property.....good.
Killed a doe down in York with twildasin.....good.

Poacher on my main property last night....unknown what he killed......bad.

Saw the biggest buck of the season tonight.....good. It was in the beam of my headlamp......bad.

This season hasn't been bad.....it's just not been great yet. Looking forward to the next 3 weeks.

Well, you know:D Actually even prior to taking my buck on Tuesday, I was seeing good amounts of deer, which has been the case the past two seasons. What was different this season was that I was actually seeing some 1.5yr olds BEFORE November. I saw 6 different bucks including two shooters. I missed a doe last week, however, so it COULD have gone better, not after Tuesday;)

Well the season started out pretty slow for me....first 3 or 4 times out i didnt see anything....

I have been out probably 13 to 15 times this year..and the last 3 to 5 hunts im starting to see deer...

Actually last night a 6 pt came right under my stand....smelled my Trails End #307 , but i couldnt get a shot, he came in from behind my tree stand, if i had a crossbow it might of happen, but unfortunitly i couldnt get a good angle on him, big bodied deer, so i was going to take him...but he live to fight another day...

My buddy shot a nice 10 last night and my other buddy shot a doe last night....if i would have shot that deer last night, we all would have gotten a deer....kinda wish i would...it would of been pretty cool to have all 3 of us get a deer on the same day....

Deer are starting to move....every sit has been better and better....but no deer yet...

5 short sits so far, deer under 20 yards on 3 of the hunts.
Doe shot on my last sit...that was also first hunt I saw bucks (3 of them chasing some does)

Things will be picking up soon with the bucks...hopefully a couple sits/week the next few weeks...Team 16 is ready for some Buck Points!

same 8 pointer sparing with other bucks 100 yards away

    2nd sit = nothing

3rd sit = nice doe out of range

4th sit = bumped deer walking in ...saw squirrels
5th sit = small doe at 5 yards .. I let her go as I was fearful it may be a BB

Season Opened Oct 3rd. Temps have been up near 80 almost every sit(4 or 5 sits). Managed to kill an "antlerless" deer(button) last Tuesday evening and this past Wednesday had a doe and a little one under me at 12 yards. Other than that haven't been out much at all and am really hoping the weather gets cold and stays cold.

Talking to several other hunters bowhunting the same land and it seems sightings and movement have started to pick up a little this week and they are seeing some young bucks sparring and running around so that is usually a good sign. Scrapes and rubs seem to be picking up as well so it should get interesting soon. Problem is Blackpowder starts Halloween so more pressure but oh well I plan on using it to my advantage when I can.

Daughters 3rd birthday today and her party is tomorrow (was supposed to be Sunday but no dice)so this weekend is looking like a morning hunt only on Saturday.

Next week I am hunting Monday, Thurs p.m., Friday, and Saturday so I'm excited.

Hey NEW, I sent you a pm! Why haven't you entered your antlerless deer in the contest? We could sure use the point bud.

You do know you are allowed to enter 1 antlerless deer worth 50 points don't you?

    Heres my update,

    My season looks like this:

    32 deer on 14 hunts, 16 does, 6 fawns, 3 bucks, 7 unknown, 2 shots, 1 kill

This was my year to get into filming, but since Isaac got hurt, ive had to self-film. Ive had okay results, and only got videos out of 2 hunts:

I did get my earliest deer ever down though on October 2nd, a nice doe. She was my 6th lifetime deer.
