My cousin called me this afternoon and said he had just finished the mount for my 2009 buck, so I couldn't resist picking him up tonight. I'm very pleased with the outcome. This old boy went from this: To this: To finally being on the wall (I just wish "his" arrow hadn't broke into 3 differen't pieces): A picture of him joining his new friends in my basement: This also gave me the motivation to finish up a turkey display of my first bird I killed in 2008. Hope to put the finishing touches on it tomorrow.
Looks real good Scott. So when do you want to settle up our little wager? I think I owe you a dinner or a few beers, or both. Congrats again on a great buck.
The 2 studs on the each end would be my old man's gun kills from back in the 90's. Can't take the credit for them, but they are still nice to look at.
Thanks John. Let me know of some weekend you make it back up to your property and we can figure something out. Right now my weekends are filled with work and then working on the house at the farm after work, but that should be getting wrapped in the next few weeks (I hope anyways).
Scott - Beautiful mount and great buck. I know you're a great guy now - we both drink Evan Williams! :D PS - what did he end up scoring?
I've had my share of long nights with Evan Williams....and he scored 155 and change. Thanks Vito.....and I suck at them too....it's a pretty good time to get some friends together after a few drinks and try to play though.
Great buck and great looking mount. He is a fine addition to your collection. I love those big clean looking 10's. Congrats.
