1. How can a professional kicker not be able to kick an onside kick? (patriots) 2. I really don't understand why Carolina is no better than they are, the offend is pretty dang decent.....does the defense suck that bad?
1. Because there are 22 players on the field. 2. Because Cam Newton isn't always as "dazzling" as he was, and consistency is everything when it comes to winning.
But it's not like they are losing games 35-0? Also I'm not saying I'm a huge carolina fan.....just curious on others thoughts. A professional kicker should still be able to at least kick the ball 10 yards even if a full marching band and half the stadium is on the field.....
Carolina's defense IS that bad. They let Minnesota score 24 on them!!! It's going to be a work in progress, and they're in position for another great pick in April. Cam is actually VERY GOOD, better than I expected, and I said I thought he'd be good. He does make some stupid rookie mistakes on occasion, but those will get better. He top 5 in yards per attempt, in qualified leaders, mid range on his completion percentage, within a point of Matt Ryan, Matt Stafford, and Josh Freeman, he's thrown more touchdowns and fewer interceptions than Philip Rivers, and Matt Ryan, so overall he's above avg statistically, and he's playing for the Carolina Panthers!!! Give him a couple years, and he may not be the next Peyton Manning, or Drew Brees, or Tom Brady, but I think he's capable of being at or above the level of Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, Tony Romo, to name a few. Time will tell us.... For all the fanfare Michael Vick gets, he never completed more than 57% of his passes in a season until last season, and I think that was in part because he just has such a good group of receivers in Philly, and he never through for more than 20TD until last year either. So Cam's on pace to have a better season than ANY of Michael Vick's seasons up to last year.
