I epoxied my first hit inserts 2 days ago and have been letting them dry on a flat surface since then and I screwed in my first field point and the insert turned, 48 hours not enough? Would a little gorilla glue do the trick? Not gorilla super glue, the actual gorilla glue, I've used epoxy at work and I know I mixed it good, I don't know what the problem is?

I am not sure about the drying time on the epoxy but I do know that you need to be careful with the gorilla glue as it will expand as it dries.

The epoxy is honestly a waste of time to many variables with it drying such as humidity tempature so on an so forth what I have found is any quick drying glue works best I use the same glue as I fletch with for my inserts an it works great

If you do not plan on taking out the inserts again, just super glue them in and they will be ready to go in a minute or two. If you want to remove the inserts in the future for whatever reason, buy the Fletchtite platinum glue and let it sit for 24 hours or so. Then if you want to remove the inserts just lightly heat up the insert and it will come right out.

If they are indeed the "HIT" inserts then you HAVE to use the epoxy, a regular hard/fast dry glue will not work right with them.

I have used the Easton HIT epoxy several times with no problems..?
I did buy a couple large bottles of another slow cure epoxy I think it is made by Devcon and it has also been a great glue for inserts(HIT or regular inserts)

The epoxy is the best way to go with the HIT system. Run the risk of not getting them set in place properly if you try a fast setting glue.

You just messed up either mixing the epoxy or cleaning the shaft.

I might be redneckish every once in awhile but I just put some darn superglue on the inserts, turn the arrow over and push the insert down on something hard to set it. Within seconds it is ready to shoot and it has never given me a problem, even with the HIT system.
