I've used two blade rage hypodermics on two deer last year best blood trail I've witnessed. Trying the Havocs this year.
i have been used the bear razor head for years and tried the slick trick last year and killed 2 deer with them.but i didnt like the blood trail they left so i am going back to the razor heads for now on, or long as i still can find them.
I just got the rage broad head on ebay for $10.00 I cant wait to use them. Hope they work out alright I don't want to waist the money. Or shoot a deer and they don't work.
Not to derail this thread but those are probably knock-off's if they are new. There is a big problem with China making copies of popular heads and selling them much cheaper and most end up on eBay. To the OP I used to use Magnus a lot when I shot trad. They are excellent heads. I have used both vented and non-vented styles.
The guy asks about 2 blade magnus heads and people reply talking about rages. Wtf??? Scott mills, they are a good head. I shot a nice doe with one last year with my 60 pound recurve. Complete pass through and great blood trail.
yea and he thinks he got a good buy, made in china rage knock offs.better have a pair of goggles when the blades fly off.
Don't the real rage broadheads do that? Lol. To the op, I have never used a 2 blade fixed head but have thought about it. Might have to pick up a couple different kinds to try for next summer.
I set my son up with the 2 blade stingers when he was 11 and he got a complete passthrough with a 40# setup and 23" draw length. The head did stick in a tree after the passthrough. However, the blood trail was nonexistent but I did see the deer fall about 50 yards away. We have been using the 4 blade models since and the blood trails are awesome and the penetration doesn't seem to have suffered any.
I liked the 4 blade stinger better. The lil bleeder blades don't need anymore bow weight then the 2 blade in my opinion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
