Heres the video of them coming through the woods chasing deer. What would you do? Never seen these dogs before and the nearest property is miles away.
    Thanks for any input

No collars, don't know who they belong to, friendly? I would try to get them to come to me and take them so they have a good home and or call the dog catcher.

If they're not friendly (can't really imagine an un-friendly Lab), but crazier things have happened. I would say choot 'em and dispose.

Since they're labs, I would look for the owner and talk to them about it. If they were pit bulls, or a breed like them, fire at will.

I had some stray dogs running around my place for a while this fall. Got them on trail camera several times and so did the neighbors. They even were sleeping on the cabin's porch. I could tell by their hair all over the floor mat at the door. Unless the dog was suffering I would have a hard time shooting it if it was a domesticated animal.

First I would turn my phone sideways so we have a better viewing opportunity ;) . Secondly, seems how this is the only time you have seen them, I would chalk it up as an isolated incident and not worry too much about it.

Had that happen here this season too. I've yet to find the owners but I haven't shot them either...I've not gotten these on camera for a while, hopefully they are gone.

Why is it different if its a pit bull....not trying to start something here or flip this thread..... just curious as to why you have that point of view

First time I try to catch them and they get a free pass. Second time, I probably just grit my teeth and try again to find out where they belong. Third time, probably depends on the circumstance.

Most likely you will never see them again. I Have had dogs running deer by me this year and I tried to sneak up on them to catch them and they ran from me scared and never came back. I was in full camo and think they didn't know what I was. Also growing up I had two dogs of mine killed by hunters and it wasn't a good feeling to lose a pet that way.

I wasn't planning on doing anything. I just hope they don't come around causing trouble anymore. It makes for a quick day in the field. I am just getting opinions! Thanks

I just got the Jack Knife camera mount and today was my first day using it. I will be having it sideways for sure! Way better viewing opportunity indeed.
I won't worry too much about it, just thought I"d share and get some opinions. Thanks

Was your question serious? Its obvious that some breeds of dogs deserve a chance to live, while others don't in this situation. Well, not even in this situation. Some breeds of dogs should cease to exist.

Dan, I own several pit bulls and they haven't/ won't harm anyone. It's not the dogs fault they are bred this way, my dogs make great catch dogs for the people I send them to in Texas. If I have a pup show any signs of agression towards humans, that's it, he/she doesn't live any longer.
The neighbors to my right have a lab that comes over and he's alright with me and my wife but he gets crazy towards anyone who drives up in a car. Don't know why but it happens. The neighbor to my left has a golden retriever and he jumped the fence a week ago and started after me, I didn't really think anything of it till he stopped a few feet short of me and started showing his teeth, barking and snapping at me. I just stood there and he kept on but if I moved, he would get closer. I pulled out my Smith & Wesson .40 and shot him, no more problem. It's not the breed of dog, it's the owner and how they train them. Good dogs and bad dogs, just like people.
Also, every dog that attacks someone now days is a pitbull type dog. In the 80's it was the doberman, in the 90's it was the german shepard. The number one dog to bit people in the early 2000's around me was a dog you wouldn't think about and that's the dalmation. 2 of them gave a girl I know 157 + stitches before her husband came out and killed them.

Don't waste your breath trying to convince me that its all in how a dog is raised. There's good and bad dogs within any breed, some breeds just have more bad ones, no matter how they're raised.

This is true and the numbers back it.

Problem is that pit bull covers several breeds of terriors. Some pit bulls are not aggressive at all while others are very aggressive.

There has been an inbreeding problem in the past as well which leads to some of the issues found with the breed.
