Well Saturday was youth season in Missouri and Dad and I headed out! At 10:40 we had 3 gobblers at 12 yards! I picked out a bird and Blasted him with the shotgun! This Morning found me and Dad setup on a friends farm in Kansas with bows in hand! Birds gobbled of the roost a few times and then flew down and strutted around some feeding hens 40 yards behind us that we couldnt see. Eventully we got the Biggest gobbler wound up to were he was gobbling at everything! All of a sudden here he comes around the corner at 23 yards and gobbled one last time before seeing the DSD Jake decoy....And here he came!!!! When he was almost to the decoy I drew the bow and smoked him at 7 steps!! The arrow entered right in the base of the neck and the bird dropped with out making another move!!! It was the first time I have had a gobblerthat close and was my first bowkill on anything!!! I am so pumped! Matthews Mission x3, Goldtip arrows, Fixed 3 blade snuffer broadheads, Dark horse blind, DSD Jake and breeding hen! 24.3125+15+15+24= 78.3125!!
