Britney and I picked up our first shed of 09. A good 4pt shed with a 25 1/8 main beam. Shed scored 64 4/8. We have both sets of the buck's sheds from the past two years. I forgot the camera at home so not the greatest pictures when we got back from sheddin.

That side went 55 1/8 last year so a gain of 9 3/8 this year. He grossed 126 at 3.5 years old. He runs real even and will gross out at 143 - 145 for a main frame 4pt this year. Should be able to find his other shed to verify. We've seen him quite a few times over the year and given him a pass with rifle but couldn't get him in bow range. :bash: Be interesting to see if he breaks 150 this year at 5 1/2 years old. He has been put on the " most wanted list " !! :d

We went for a scouting/shed hunt today. Saw a lot of bucks carrying which isn't too surprising. Tyler picked up his first match set of the year though.

We give up on Mojo for shed hunting. We are into VooDoo/black magic now. Buckeye told us about it. Surprised he didn't give you a heads up.

Anyways... kill a chicken and cut it's head and feet off. Dip blood on your old shed pile. Make a necklace with the chicken head and wear it everytime you shed hunt. Make sure it is visible ( very important ) !! Stick the right leg ( claws up ) in your cap on the left side. Carry the left foot in your right hand ( claws down )while shed hunting. You've got to get it just right so I suggest you post a picture so we can laugh.... eerrrr make sure you are done up right. :tu:

Buckeye swore it would work. After two days of shed hunting we are believers. Trust me on this !! You will never need Mojo again !! :deer: :d

If he does break 150" this year let me know.. I'm always curious as a buck reaches the age of 5 what he was at 4.

Nice finds by your son too.

He was killed last Nov at 5.5 years old and went 153.

At 4.5 years old from his shed... we figured he would score 145

At 3.5 years old from his sheds...we figured he would score 126

We have his sheds when he was 2.5 years old. Tyler will score them shortly and I'll get the score posted.

    Cool. Thanks Tim.

Always neat to see what happens to a bucks antlers as he ages. Especially after 4 years of age. Just shows you how rare a true giant whitetail is.. anywhere.
