Here's a few pics from my brand new cuddeback, which is set up on a new mock scrape, near one of my ridgetop stands. I wanted to test the camera badly so I only left it out for a few days and hunted this spot this evening just so I could check the camera. This little area is where I had a lot of bucks on camera all summer. Thanks for the mock scrape tips/advice Caleb, it was helpful. If this buck shows himself in daylight, I would love to get a shot at him. I don't care how old he is, or what he scores.. I just wanna put an arrow through his lungs. He is smaller than a few of the bucks on camera over summer, but he's a awesome buck for me.... I messed up by leaving a twig in front of the cam (I was hastily trying to get into the stand, running late ) but overall I'm happy with the first few mock scrape pics, atleast I know a buck has found it.
Great pics Adam, try moving the camera a little farther back and liek you mentioned, clearing the sticks. Your gunna love the capture!
Ha, Yes... One side of the property has a bunch of them. I've cut a bunch of them and removed them, but these ones stay, cuz its really where the bucks usually enter our property. I don't even venture in, the scrape is on the edge of it. It's their "mini-sanctuary" where I think they feel safe/have an escape route. But yea I hate locust trees, they are a pain in the... Literally . Caleb, yea I need to move it back and get a better angle....can't even see the actual scrape in those pics. I think I'm gonna put it a tad higher and tilt it down a little. I ALREADY love this camera way more than my others.
