This is my first season bowhunting (and hunting in general). I started it off on the first day with a little (literally) doe management - double lung from about 6 yards.
Congrats, amazing how a small deer can have huge impacts on us. Still remember my first kill, button buck about the same size. Would love to have seen my vital stats after that shot
I know what you mean. My #60 draw felt like #90 and the bow was shakin the whole time I was pullin it back. I saw a 4 pt yesterday w/ a big body. That got me goin even more - I can't even imagine some of the stuff I've seen on BHOD. I'll be lookin for a big mama or 8pt tonight.
Congrats on your first arrowed deer!! Nothing quite like it is there?? Great job, welcome to the addiction.
thanks folks! The addiction has begun. Will be up in the stand tomorrow AM and PM hopin to get something
My first deer was Nov last year. Turned out to be a small button buck, but it sure did look like a huge doe when I let the arrow fly. They sure do look bigger when you are looking at them from up in a tree.
