My dad got me two bows a couple years ago and they are to small for me..... Ive been looking at the Bear apprentice RTH compound bow package for $279.99 every where I look.... I would like to know some feedback on the bow if you or someone you know has it.... Its the 1st bow I am going hunting with and the 1 I am going to buy on my own instead of going to England.....Please give me feedback.....

Well let me start by saying welcome to the site! I a not familiar with that bow but at the same price point and before you make your final decision I would strongly recommend that you lol at the Diamond Razor Edge. Its an awesome bow for women and youth. Comes with everything you need, is super easy to adjust and will certainly grow with you. My daughter shoots I and I know many on these forums have purchased italso! Good luck to you!

First thing is How old are you ? Do you still have growing to do?
The apprentice is a great starter bow but so are alot of the mathews mission line bows.
If you are looking for a bow that can grow with you then you will want one that is adjustable to you for draw lwnght and weight.
or if you are done growing then start looking at bows that are built to suit you specifically.
Mission has bows that are around $300 like the craze or the menance which come with a LIFETIME warranty against defects.

Which was the other one you looked at? A max budget of $600 will get you an awesome bow and probably total overkill if your still growing.

X2 for a Mission Menace, I have personally shot one numerous times. It was set on like 30lbs but it could adjust up to my draw length by only changing a couple things. I was very impressed with the feel.

Go to a good shop and look at the mission line.
Hoyt does make a youth bow also if you might be more partical to them.

    YZ 50
    AXLE-TO-AXLE
    29 ¾"

    BRACE HEIGHT
    6 ¾"

    DRAW WEIGHT
    20-50#

    MASS WEIGHT
    2.8 LBS.

    ECCENTRIC OPTIONS
    & DRAW LENGTHS
    VERSA-FLEX
    18-28"
    281 FPS

Brace height is going to be important for you as you grow. The longer the brace height the more forgiving the bow will be.
Overall weight shold'nt really matter to you unless you are walking and stalking.
Good luck and let us know what you have choosen. Just remember in most states you have to draw atleast 40#'s to be legal.
If you are in Illinois I can help set you up at a shop that a friend of mine owns.

It's good to shoot a dear with only one arrow? Chances are your not going to get any more arrows off than that. I think if you pick up the Mission Craze OR the Mission Menace you will be completly happy with either, my wife shoots the Menace and it is a very nice bow for youth and women.
