When I saw the title, Goonies was the first movie that popped into my head. I don't know how many times I watched it back then. I bet if I watched it now I would think its terrible.

Some of the movies mentioned takes me back. Summer School was the first movie I saw in a theater. Caddyshack is still one of my all time favorites. I remember finally seeing the original (vs. the edited for television) when I was in high school. It was like seeing it for the first time again...but with boobs.

Every time Mike Willand calls me the Top Gun theme plays on my phone. Possibly the greatest 80's movie of all time.

Nah, Goonies holds up surprisingly well unlike most 80s movies.

    I'll add:
    Ghostbusters
    Big
    E.T.
    Raiders of the Lost Ark
    Return of the Jedi

a lot of great movies in the 80's... Die Hard, Raging Bull, Platoon, one of the greatest sci-fi films of all time BladeRunner, then toss in a couple of the greatest comedies of all time like Airplane!, The Naked Gun, Fish called Wanda, Planes, trains and automobiles.... a great time for cinema

    Hoosiers another classic.
"Look, mister, there's... two kinds of dumb, uh... guy that gets naked and runs out in the snow and barks at the moon, and, uh, guy who does the same thing in my living room. First one don't matter, the second one you're kinda forced to deal with.

Top gun is my all time favorite movie. In my next life I'm coming back as a FIGHTER PILOT.

And the music wasn't bad either.
