We just had a frigid spell with snow, my deer sightings were way down. Just a few deer per sit.
Warmed up the last two days and my deer sightings went back up. Saw around a dozen the last two evenings. Rut seems about over does are with fawns and the small bucks I've seen seem to just want to eat. Deer are really hitting the corn, soybeans and a food plot of brassicas.

I saw 6 does and a yote this evening, didn't kill anything though.
Got home and got a call that one of my dad's brothers passed away this afternoon. Lost dad Sept 29th, one of his younger brothers a month before and now this one. I wasn't close to the one uncle but the one that passed today was one of my favorite family members. Copd got him as well....he went just like dad did. Rough old life, hold on to your loved ones folks, it's over way too soon.

I’ll be in the stand tomorrow morning looking to drop a doe! The youth orange army will be out unfortunately but nothing I can do about that except take advantage of all the deer running frantically around the woods and shoot one myself. How’s everyone’s season going any more bucks hit the ground for our team..

I saw a big boy this evening, just couldn't quite get him in range...almost though. His luck held out pretty good for him, had he gone straight ahead, he'd be hanging in the shed.

    Mike tell us the story!!

I've been hunting the late season here. Seeing does and small bucks. No bucks big enough to help our score yet. I'll keep trying.
