30 degrees cooler here, made it out for my 1st evening hunt. Cool and calm, slight east wind and the deer still moved good. Saw around a dozen, decided not to shoot anything yet. Great to be hunting again.
I'm probably not going to make it out hunting for a while. My dad's health has taken a turn for the worse the last few days so that's keeping everything pretty chaotic lately. Hate to say it but don't expect him to be with us too much longer and not much anyone can do about it. Life can sure be a *****.
Well of these guys from Michigan don’t stop buying up all the freaking woods around my area people here won’t have anywhere close to hunt! I’m talking well over a thousand acres just bought up and no one can hunt it anymore Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Damn, brother... so sorry to hear about your Dad... you all are in my prayers Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Thanks for the kind words and prayers guys. Dad is home where he wants to be and as comfortable as we can make him and has hospice care. He's in the final stages of COPD and a lot of other problems from being so limited on activity for a long time. He's still with us but basically has to be drugged all the time. Basically just sleeping away. If there is a hell, this is about how I'd imagine it.
[QUOTE="CoveyMaster, If there is a hell, this is about how I'd imagine it.[/QUOTE] i feel your pain, went thru this with my dad and my wife's father years ago GOD Bless
Sorry to hear the bad news covey life is not fair. Back from elk hunting in idaho with no animal. It was tough with warm weather they didn't bugle at all. Heard three half hearted bugles all week. Did have one 5x5 at twenty yards he stopped right behind a branch one more step and it woulda been a done deal, better luck next time i guess.
no Friday night lights tonight, postponed til tomorrow 1 pm. A big thunder storm is approaching, expecting to hit about the same time the boys are going to be on the field. most of the local games have been postponed.
