As an idol of mine stated, "I don't like repeat offenders, I like Dead offenders". He's where he belongs.
I think we should have provisions in the law where we "reward" a person that blows a dirtball away in this fashion. I know I know it sounds sick but hear me out. If you have the guts to enter someone elses home and try to rob/kill them, then you deserve to have all of your property/everything you own given to the person you tried to victimize.....when they blow you away.
Tough deal for her -good outcome or not...I did notice the huge difference in media reaction to the guy shooting someone coming at him with a club vs the young mother protecting herself and child...whats really the difference here - they were both under duress and threatened with great bodily harm...why is the guy with the bow being villified and she is praised...or at least the shooting with a gun of someone with knife is ignored because it can only help law abiding gun owners and the NRA, so the media doesn't want to publicize the issue too much.
I just heard about this today and was about to post it here. It's great to see that she's not behind bars with her baby on it's way to a foster home. What sucks is that it seems intruders have to be armed for you to be able to shoot them. I'm not sure about most people's houses but mine is pretty dark in middle of the night. I'm going to be able to tell if the dude is armed or not. Are we supposed to kindly ask people who break into our houses if they're armed or not?
This is why i love the country we live in, If this happened in some other countries it could of ended way worse for the mother and her child.
