sounds like you got lucky that he didn't mount it for you. Sounds like a Richard. Hope your cape is still good and make sure you get your whole deposit back

That's sucks. I've been through that same rodeo! It was 2 years before I got my stuff back and everything was freezer burnt to boot!

Jeeze...that sucks....hope you find a good one and get your deer done. Probably work out for the better anyway and you'll get a nicer job. That's a hell'uva deer, do you have any pics, that's really similar to what the one I just got back scored in the OMG thread but the deductions kept him from making Boone by a hair.

Sorry I don't know of any taxidermists up that way.

Nice bucks. Sorry about your deal w. the Taxi. Happened to my father-in-law a few years back. He still doesn't have his mounted. I think his cape was ruined. Sorry I can't recommend a taxi in your area. Surely someone on here will have a good recommendation. Good luck.

It's not in NE IA but Richard Watts does good work. He is located in Oskaloosa. I just got my mount back from him and will continue to use him for all my trophies. His website is wattstaxidermy.com if you want to check him out.

Thats a bummer, but probably also not the type of guy you want doing work on your 170 class deer.
