    That’s pretty incredible.

I’ve often wondered how one of these would be entered in our contest. I mean, it’s not a buck after all.

If someone in the contest had killed that deer with a bow something tells me I’d have a problem to work out.

Personally I would lean towards letting it count towards a buck score simply because it is an antlered deer.

Wouldn't work; cross-dressing deer are still genetically binary.

I killed one many years back during our gun season(late '80's), spike one one side, 3 pt on the other, all in velvet .. I rolled it over and said to my buddy, "look, a California deer, a she/he" ...

Pretty sure this has been discussed before and it would count as an antlered deer because most, if not all, states require the deer to be tagged with an either sex/antlered deer tag.

That would make sense since when pulling the trigger you arent expecting it to be a doe

Would be way too much cheating if not, no way to tell after field dressing. Only have to leave sex organs attached until it is checked in if you remove the head. I check mine in as soon as I get a signal.

Seen on an IDNR post on FB about deer must be checked in by 10pm the day it is taken. Someone said they need to create an app to make it simpler like other states. They replied "Working on it". Guessing that is why the current online check in has been updated to needing a login and password.

Being IL they'll probably charge a fee for the app

yet another jackdumbass regulation from IL. I like to hang my deer for 2-3 days if possible. Having to take it into a check station day 1 is not optimal
