This makes me sick.... http://news.yahoo.com/claim-seeks-100-million-child-survivor-connecticut-school-003646074.html
They should have to release the names of the parents, there's a reason why they're not. They know it's an absurd claim and the public response would be swift. Disgusting and irresponsible by the parents
If, as the suit claims, this incident was foreseeable, would that not mean the parents knew that they were putting their child in harms way? That being the case, shouldn't the parents be charged with criminal neglect?
Make me sick to man. Was just talkin bout that earlier. Those people don't give a damn bout their kids, nust the money they wanna make off their kids bad dreams.
can you be my lawyer? i never thought about it that way and i also agree with simion this is what is wrong with the people today. i bet this family has watched to many episodes of "honey boo boo"
Problem is, I'm serious. They filed this claim in court and being a legal document, their claims are allegedly true. That being the case, they knowingly and willfully enrolled their child in a school where this act was foreseeable. That, in my opinion constitutes criminal negligence. If this was foreseeable in their opinion, what portion of this act becomes their responsibility for not only putting their child in this situation, but also not forewarning other parents?
1) What terrible people to even think about filing suit 2) What weenie prosecutors for allowing such an absurd case to get to court 3) They should be counter sued by the county to off-set the costs of their wasteful lawsuit
You would think the parents would just be happy their child was not killed? 26 others were not so lucky....
Is it the 100 million dollars or is it the idea of some one profiting from tragedy? 100 million is not really that much money, how many athletes have larger contracts? Really after the lawyers get their cut,and the Obama administration gets their share and all cost aligned with this ever getting to a court of law and you can clearly see that these modest folks will be lucky to clear enough blood money to choke on.
JG, proceeds from lawsuits are not taxable. Therefore, the lawyer gets his 25-33% plus expenses and the family gets the rest. If this law suit is allowed to go forward and the family gets awarded anything at all, I hope the court stipulates that all monies awarded are to be spent for the child's psychiatry bills and nothing else and then is monitored to ensure that happens.
Maybe if some money would have previously been spent getting Adam the help he desperately needed this thread would be like an honest, ethical attorney, non existent.
