I pulled two cams today. They had been out for 1 week. Between the two this is the only pic I had. One had no pics except for me walking in front of it. The other one had this. This is the first deer I've gotten for awhile. I'm running two cuddebacks. A capture and a Capture IR. This one is from the capture IR.
If its not against the law where you live put out a 50 pound bag of corn. Might also get some Deer Molasses and pour out on a stump or dead tree. With all the vegetation in the woods it's hard to get them on a cam unless you put out some good tasting and good smelling bait...........:D
Really disappointing when you've been waiting in anticipation and that's all you get. Better luck next time. Blessings........Pastorjim
I think they are coming through, I found tracks just a short distance away from one of the cams. My cams might just not be picking them up. I'll probably get a salt lick.
Two words brah, Monster Raxx!! Deer will still hit the mineral, but I would check out the attractants also mix it with corn or spray it on surrounding vegetation/ stumps. You will not be disappointed!
Move the cameras closer or find a new area to set them up. The motion sensor might be messed up as well. Good luck.
Do some testing on the cameras at home and see if they are picking up movement consistently for a couple days before you put them back out.
are you near a water/food source? i've been getting pretty goo luck around beans. if you have tall grass cut paths and put camera's on trails
I had a camera out for two weeks, a spider decided to build its egg sack in front of my camera lens on day 2 so I had 12 days of nothing. It happens. I'd test the camera by hanging it at the house. Then put the salt block out with the camera, if its legal, and try a different angle or position for the camera.
