Just wondering, i knew i had that picture of him with both eyes open.

If one can shoot with both eyes open, it is beneficial to do so.

It does several things. Better sight picture for one but it allows your muscles in your face to be more relaxed as well.

Many target archers will use a patch or a blinder if they have an issue with leaving both open.

I shoot with both eyes open but do the same as earlier posts I'll use my dominant only for a second then open my other eye. I find it to be much more comfortable and I got more accurate then I was with just one eye open

So far what I have found it does for me is make me focus on the target more than the pin it's self.
Which also gives me less floating around the target with that pin.
Now I have only tried it at a very short yardage (12) and indoors.
I will go out and try it outside at longer distances to see if I really notice a change in accuracy.
For me it will be a lot different than some people because I have an old eye injury that keeps my left pupil from dilating.
So in the sun my left eye will just close on its own unless I am wearing sun glasses. I can not shot with glasses on at all.
I would honestly encourage everyone to try this if you have not already.

Well I am left eye dominant, right handed, but shoot left....made switch probably 5-6 years ago, but I honestly feel comfortable shooting either way so I chose to go with my dominant eye. But to answer the question 1 eye, next time i shoot im going to try 2 open though.

mbhunt08 The way I started was to draw then sight in like i used to using one eye then open my other eye.
Once I felt comfortable I just kept them both open. Honestly so far the difference is amazing for me.

I normally shoot with just my right eye open, but I have experimented with both eyes. At shorter distances, inside of 20, I would be comfortable right now shooting both open.

I still need some practice at longer ranges with both eyes open.

I try to shoot with two eyes open....but often need to squint my non dominant eye if I start to see double.

I would practice using both eyes when in front of a target not one of the game time bucks
