We have been watching a buck called the double split brow buck for the last 4 years. He wasn't camera shy at all for the last 3 years, but this year didn't get any pics of him. I did have an encounter with him on opening day of archery season. One of the neighbors found his sheds 3 years in a row and would never let us see them only the pictures. A couple of weeks ago we heard rumors that someone had shot this buck, but never heard anything more. Well, Our close neighbor went out to put a trail cam up in a new spot and walked up on him dead. He wasn't able to tell the cause of death since the coyotes had him cleaned up. My uncle was able to go there and get a couple pics of him. I would have gone right away, but i'm an hour and half away. It sucks that he went the way he did, but so glad a good neighbor found him and is letting us finally get our hands on the antlers. Rough score is 190". Here he is from last season: This year after he was found:
Sorry to hear that Jimmy, he sure was a giant! I know you had alot of time invested in him over the last couple years. At least you found out that he was found, and not just left wondering where he went. Thanks for sharing.
