October 2nd, 2009. My first October deer, broke my almost 2 year long streak of not harvesting an animal with my bow. It was the facepaint.
Fourth time out I got lucky enough to have a good shot on a good sized doe on September 20th. Then the following weekend, work and other commitments prevented me from getting out in the woods. The next time I got out was October 2nd, and this guy gave me a nice broadside shot at about 20 yards. Don't know about being done this early in the season, the last three seasons have all been over 200 hours on stand, this year, all done after not even 16 hours, wife is loving it, but I am wondering what I am gonna do for the rest of the fall, not to mention the two weeks of vacation I got booked for the rut......

That is AWESOME!!!!!! congratulations on his first one. Took me alot longer than 11 to get that first one under belt.
10/10/09 Oklahoma Buck Harvested this buck on Saturday morning at 7:05 am. He came down a trail following a nice 8 point. The stand placement was in a strip of timber along the lake that was between feeding and bedding area. I have a half dozen trail camera pictures of this buck under my tree within the past two weeks.
First bow kill After hunting with a bow for 10 year I have finaly gotten one. I had finaly broken down and bought a pendulum style sight that has some fiber optic on it. I have missed them because of buck fever and miss judging distance about 5 times. but I finaly conected with my largest buck yet and first bow kill. Here is a trail cam photo from this summer I have been bow hunting all this time and I have had them come by where there was too little light to shoot or I would just all out mis but I final got it together to get it done. I was already hooked but now I am ready for the next one I was excting to say the leaste.
