Well it would be great if everyone who gets kills this year would post your pics in the thread so we know what's going on with our brothers and sisters! Maybe this could be a sticky up top?? Let's see your success folks... post away!
A Grouse.....3500miles of driving and all I killed was a GROUSE!!! I went all the way to Colorado and the only think I killed was a grouse.....it was tasty, a little tougher than I'm used to (chicken and turkey), but tasty. The ST did it's job, complete pass-through with that 450gr arrow zipping out of my Trykon XL at nearly 280fps, those 77ft/# of KE were plenty for a pass-through on this Blue Grouse hen at 22yds......:D Sorry not a great pic, but it was nearing dark and I was still up the mountain a way, and I pulled the breast meat out before I even thought to take a picture.....
Does this count... technically is was from last season.. but shot Jan. 5th, 2009! Last Thursday of PA's late archery season and the last day that I could hunt!
That was clutch. I remember that. Getting it done at the very end of a VERY pressured herd (I'm assuming...it's PA). Nice.
'09 in a glimpse First white-tailed deer of the season First deer with traditional gear. The custom Kanga longbow, "Tigger", cuts her teeth on a South Dakota doe. And two from my favorite hunt all season. My daughter scores while hunting with her father in a ground blind:
