Thats basically my question. I was shooting at the club tonight and noticed when my bow was about at the valley of the draw a clicking noise would come from what sounds like the roller guard? This is the first I have ever noticed it? Is there something I should be oiling here? Is something bent? Is it possible the rollers are touching? Its not a loud click just a suttle noise that is driving me flipping CRAZY!! The only thing I changed was switched string wax from Bohning to String Snot, the string snot actually seems to build up more then my old stuff, but I still dont believe this is the problem? Any help appreciated....Thanks!!
The center pivot bows have had some clicking noise coming from the limb pockets where the riser meets the limbs at the center point. There should be some grease between the two. Sometimes it dries out and start to make that noise you refer to. Never heard of the roller gaurd making noise. Hope this helps.
Take the clip off and replace the center washer with a thin teflon one that you can buy at a hardware store. The problem comes from there.
I pressed the bow today and it seems the inner roller is wearing down. I flipped it with the other roller and it seems it could possibly be taken care of! I am actually heading to the range right now to check it out....will update soon. Also there is no washer in there now, but have read that a nylon washer would help? i may have to go to the hardware store tommorow, just to try and save the other roller? ALSO its funny Pa/Buck Hunter that you mentioned the limb pocket grease drying up....what can I do to lubricate them again? I have also read that you dont want to put nothing in there, but that makes no sense to me since they come from factory with some sort of Red grease in them?? Thanks!!!
