This is where everyone hangs out and talks about what little life there is outside of bowhunting. Remember to keep it clean!

I talk bowhunting in the bowhunting areas. I talk recipes in the recipe area. Here I talk about other stuff not usually related to bowhunting and enjoy the topics in all the areas..

Things are rarely clean in politics. The topic elicits strong feelings from most. So when you post strong topics on political topics with what some would consider inflammatory comments (perception) then prepare to get blasted.

Thats because too many are subject to their feelings rather than logic.

In many cases what people believe is logic is actually their opinion swayed by feelings. They've convinced themselves that it's purely a logical decision, but I always find it strange how their logic follows the path that's the exact opposite of the people they disagree with.

Anyways - I think people should talk about politics more, not less. The "let's forget out it and go hunting "attitude is what got us all in this mess to begin with. Nobody cared who they were electing or what policies they were creating until things went to hell in a handbasket. Now it's finally good to see people paying attention and caring again.

    ^ This.

More people paying attention will have a very noticeable effect this November. I very much look forward to it. The pendulum is about to swing back to the right after being stuck at the left for far too long.

But has Pandora's box been opened? I sure hope not. There are some economist as well as some billionaires who are saying it has. That's what happens when the: 1. uneducated and 2. non-contributors to a productive society are allowed to vote. What dead beat isn't going to vote to spend someone else's money on himself?

I think the reverse is true, who is not going to vote to keep their money? We have lost sense of "Community" we used to have.

America use to be great at balancing comminuty and personal interest we all have. Generations before us work hard to make it easier on all of us. We all reap the benefits from their sacrifice and hard work. I am talking about the PEOPLE who did this, not the goverment

There is a reason the Generation after mine is called "Generation Screwed"

Yes and the main reason is large government and the tax Burdon and them having to pay for the social programs of the liberal Obamunists. If they are screwed, its because of what government has become and is doing to them.

From Charlie Sykes (author of 7 book including “A Nation of moochers” and “A Nation of Victims” and “Dumbing Down Our Kids”)

“How has this generation been screwed? Let’s count the ways, starting with the economy. No generation has suffered more from the Great Recession than the young. Median net worth of people under 35, according to the U.S. Census, fell 37 percent between 2005 and 2010; those over 65 took only a 13 percent hit.

The wealth gap today between younger and older Americans now stands as the widest on record. The median net worth of households headed by someone 65 or older is $170,494, 42 percent higher than in 1984, while the median net worth for younger-age households is $3,662, down 68 percent from a quarter century ago, according to an analysis by the Pew Research Center.

The older generation, notes Pew, were “the beneficiaries of good timing” in everything from a strong economy to a long rise in housing prices. In contrast, quick prospects for improvement are dismal for the younger generation.

One key reason: their indebted parents are not leaving their jobs, forcing younger people to put careers on hold. Since 2008 the percentage of the workforce under 25 has dropped 13.2 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, while that of people over 55 has risen by 7.6 percent.”

Hey VS! What a goof ball, you put that one 1 in where there should have been a zero. Jeez, you just can't get a good binary writer anymore.

    I need remedial training.

And Justin, I agree. People need to stand up for what they believe. I will "talk politics" this fall by voting, but other than that, I am sick of it.
