OSU is 7-11-2 all time vs the SEC.

7-2-2 in the regular season... 0-9 in bowls. Odd stat for sure.

Just when OSU thought they were done with Mallett a couple years ago... Here he is again :tu:

Its a weird one for sure...

I either see Penn State winning a relatively close one, or FL owning them.

I really look forward to watching it.

    I think Arky destroys OSU.

    But that's just me.

    I agree with this.

For the first time all year Urban was legitamately p***ed after the Florida State game and issued a "Teboweque" speech to the media promising he was going to fix everything wrong with the entire program and that it all starts with the bowl game so I am excited to which team shows up.

The lethargic, unemotional Johnny Brantley performance or an excited, uptempo energetic team like we've been accustomed to seeing from Urban's Florida teams.

I'm hoping to see Jordan Reed take the majority of snaps at offense during this game. He may not be a very good quaterback as the definition would imply, but the offense moves and has energy when he is in the game. "Word on the street" is Reed had to retained from going after Brantley during the FSU game after Reed led the team down the field and Brantley threw into triple coverage inside the goal line and was intercepted.

    Yes.

And I'll continue saying it until I'm right.

Then I'll laugh at how much OSU sucks.

Arkansas defense sucks..... Mallet is good but he will have to put up big numbers to match what OSU should be able to accomplish against Arky defense.

I do think it is crap that Va Tech and Connecticut got into a BCS bowl by default while teams like Mich St and LSU are on the outside looking in as superior teams, with superior records....isn't that what making it into bowls is all about?

Didn't VT get an automatic bid (for winning the ACC)?

If so, I'm not sure how that computes. Not having a conference championship sure hurts some teams (and helps them, in other ways).

I'll give you UCONN, but you seriously think it's "crap" that Virginia Tech is playing in the Orange Bowl? They are one of the hottest team in the country right now and have been since their loss to JMU. I guarantee you nobody would want to play Virginia Tech right now the way Tyrod Taylor and Ryan Williams are playing.

Yes, UCONN is a joke but dismissing what VT has done this year is absurd.

Bama has Michigan State...alot of subplots to this game. Could be a statement for a SEC team to beat a team tied for the big ten, Saban to face his old team.

I am actually pulling for the badgers to destroy TCU, I would love that.

Yes, I absolutely think a team with a loss to JMU and Boise St (neither being BCS teams) does NOT deserve a spot over

10-2 LSU (Loss to Arkansas BCS team and Loss to National Champs Auburn:tu:)
11-1 Mich St (Loss to Iowa but Beat Wisconsin who has been destroying teams)

Sure, Va Tech might very well beat either of these teams, but with the current BCS mindset of put up all season long or shut up. Teams go into the season knowing that every game is crucial to bowl selection, but they are given a free pass to arguably the most embarrassing loss of the season....I just don't think Va Tech deserves their spot with a loss to JMU (a team finishing 3-5 in CAA). not to mention they don't rank in the top 10 in any statistic, and their best win is against Fla St a top 25 team at best.

Va Tech may win their bowl but I just don't think it's fair that they are in by default while LSU and Mich St are left watching from the outside.

I guess I still don't understand this line of thinking.

I mean....VT's in (period). IT IS WRITTEN. Why mention them with the other teams? It's not like one of them could take their place....or VT was picked over them.
