Y’all have some good ones on camera! Our season opens Tuesday and I took the day off to make sure I’m in the woods morning and evening. Will be hunting a place on a hunt club full of rifle hunters. I have to hunt it pretty decent the 15 days of archery only because they’re not a management club and will have the woods blown up. I usually try to put a doe down early there and then transition back to my other property and look for a decent buck later in the season. Good luck guys! Keep the points going!

Remnants of the storms offshore have the wind up here. Blew hard all morning and no luck. Back in now trying again. Seems to have laid down somewhat. Maybe that will get them moving.

Cold front moving in here this weekend dropping temps about 20 degrees. Daughter has been wanting to go see her grandparents. Might see if they want her to come this weekend and I can get some hunting in!

That sounds like a good plan. Whenever my in laws visit during hunting season it’s like a free pass to hunt while they are there. The wife is preoccupied with them.

Change of plans, got a phone call this afternoon and headed to the gulf coast Friday morning to help assist hurricane restoration(work in the electric utility industry) for up to two weeks. Definitely have to burn some vacation when I get back!

The weather we have had here the past 2 days was amazing. Cool in the morning and barely in the 60s for highs. Really has me feeling like it’s just around the corner.
    13 DAYS!!!!
