Also in stand. Currently 60s. Have seen some deer already tonight, but nothing close. Its the rut, anything can happen.

Sorry I haven’t been on much lately guys. I’m hoping it cools off a good amount this weekend so I can get out. If not then next weekend might be the ticket.

It’s dropping 40 degrees Tuesday to Wednesday.
I’ll get to the farm Wed and kill a big buck Thursday.
    Boom.
    Done!
Safe hunts Y’all. And go kill a deer!

Had a great day of hunting today but nothing to show for it. Saw more chasing and rut activity today than I ever have. A couple hot does woke the entire woods up. Saw maybe 18 and at least 6 different bucks. 2 nice ones and a bunch of dinks. But what fun!!

Any luck out there boys? Haven’t heard from many members in awhile. Hopefully you guys are getting a chance to get out. Our season in pa ends next Friday so I’m gonna push hard to fill my last doe tag this weekend. Actually Sunday is the first time we will be allowed to hunt sundays ever. Kind of excited for that. If I don’t get it done this weekend I will most likely be able to sneak out 2 evenings next week. Good luck if you’d getting out.

Had this guy come through eating acorns about 3:15. Still doe season until late Jan. I’ll be out again soon. Good luck guys.

So the rut has been less than spectacular on the farm.
I’m thinking the larger numbers of young bucks and does may be the result of all the activity this year. It’s only 100 acres, 6 tree stands and two tower blinds put up along with the neighbors timber being logged probably pushed the mature deer away.
Headed out for fun season Friday. That farmer said a really nice 10 pt has been hanging around the field I hunt. For him to say it’s a nice buck means it’s a NICE buck.

Keep at it , can’t kill’em from the couch. Safe hunts Y’all.

Take any chance you can get. My time here in pa is winding down for archery season. Have 1 sit tonight and possibly tomorrow morning then I’m done.

I got nice 8pt but he shed one side when he fell into the Creek. He hade some kind of injury around his antler that started a infection. He also was previously shot in the leg and that was all swollen and cut.

SWEET redemption. Have a nice 8 pt at the butcher. My host said he would ask the neighbors to look for my first buck.

Took my wife out for a sit this evening. Didn’t see anything, but we enjoyed it. Going out again in the morning.

Haven’t been able to get out much due to work but have 4 days off and plan to be back in the woods. Hopefully at least put a doe on the ground. Our season goes out January 1. Got a good many does on camera so hopefully one will slip up for me this weekend.
