Well 50 more points this morning. Got a doe at 8:50 this morning. Shot was way back, but she didnt last that long. Maybe 150 yards, found her in the neighbors woods.

All set up for the day boys. Gonna be a good day. Temps are lower than they have been clear sky’s. Just feels good.
Good luck to the guys that are out.

The walk in was not good, but we are all strapped in and ready to go.

Despite the super overgrown walk in, it was a pretty good morning. It was my wife’s first time ever, and she not only saw at least 5, but she got a shot off as well. It’s my dads crossbow, and he has one of those HHA sights on it, and I didn’t have time to range anything before the deer showed up, so it’s my fault she missed. But she still says she had a really good time and wants to get one now. Just got her a Bow and she will be working up to hunting weight.

Another week gone by and still no more tags filled here. Only one sit so far without seeing a deer so still feeling confident. 2 weeks down and the best 5 to go. Gonna put the time in until it happens. Good luck boys!!! The does are keeping us in the race now we kill some biggins and take the prize!! Good luck !!

Been out several times lately and have seen a good many small bucks in shooting range, even had a spike lay down 20 yards from me and take about an hour nap, but no good does or shooter bucks in range. Gun season opened the 11th here until the end of the year and the deer have already started getting more skiddish. Tested positive for Covid this morning so I’m quarantined for 2 weeks and back to working from home. If I start feeling better, plan to try and slip in for a few hunts morning or evening.

Sorry to hear about the Covid but I guess it really shouldn’t surprise me it’s around. I wish I would get quarantined for 2 weeks I can’t work from home so it would be a 14 day hunting spree for me if I felt up to it. Good luck and get well soon.

What’s up guys? Been awful quiet in here. Hope everyone is getting out when they have the chance. Things are going to start heating up in the deer woods soon. It’s getting close to our favorite time of the year. Keep checking in. Would like to know how everyone is doing.
I’ve been getting out a 3-4 times a week but really only had that one close opportunity at a giant. Weather has slowed things down this week. Been too warm and movement has declined from earlier but I know it’s just a matter of time. Good luck and keep us posted. Time to blow the dust off this thread.

Good luck!! I wish our temps were like that. It’s supposed to be in the 60s and 70s here for a few days next week.

Temps up in the low 80s here. Can’t wait for it to cool back off. Been feeling better from Covid and put 2 new cams out yesterday. Hoping to slip in the woods this weekend but not sure how the movement will be with the heat.

You never know. My theory has always been that if I have time to go I will go regardless of temps rain or whatever. Can’t kill em from the couch. Good luck.

Looks like you got one there at a good time. Good luck with him. Things will only get better in the next couple weeks.
