But without a facepaint job...your trophy pictures can never be EPIC unless of course you're laying down holding the rack of course (some will get this).
I use a mask as well, one for warm weather and another for cold. I like the paint and always hint to my wife about what a great stocking stuffer it would be!
Never worn it. But now I may have to if I kill so I look like a cool kid in my pictures I share here I usually just wear a mask.
I wear a balaclava/neck gaiter/sometimes a camo bandana but this year I will be trying face paint in the early season.
Never used face paint - prefer a mosquito mask in warm temps and face-covering stocking cap in cold temps. I did heard a wise man once say - "You can lock me up and throw away the key, but you can't keep my face from breaking out":D
Nothing like walking into a restaurant after a afternoon hunt forgetting that you have face paint on. You get some really funny looks before you realize why everyone is looking at you like your an idiot. It is pretty funny when you let your buddy do it though and act like you don't know why everyone is staring at him.
Since I hunt on the ground I take facepaint very serious. Since im a cracker my face reflects the sun easily and deer will be able to see my face.
This^^^ happened to me once after a duck hunt. Needless to say I went to the bathroom pretty quick after I realized the issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Grow a beard. Don't use makeup unless you wear a skirt. J/K... I wear paint in the early season. Until the beard thickens up.
I quit shaving 2 weeks ago to prep for the rut, for the record I have the gray added in to help blend into the woods:D
There are a few that probably wear it with the right intention and have for years. The majority now do it cause it a fad and they are sheep !! :p Tim
It's just for fun/looks. Delusional to think it helps aid the hunt in any way shape or form. That said, back when I didn't keep facial hair during season id paint up as well. Just part of the ritual.
We've been painting our faces for years now, before tv made it the cool thing to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
