2014 colorado elk

I'm new to archery, second year and called one in Friday night just could not get a clean shot on it, but overall that is the only one that has responded in any way. Has anyone else had any luck or heard any bugling at all? I'm hunting by steamboat springs.

 

Opening day there were several screaming. We hunted another week and a half after that and only heard one more bull. Seems like every year they are fired up the first few days then they shut up.

Pretty exciting when they come in right? I got my first elk this year in Idaho and it was awesome

 

I can't wait. I hope this year, only have this weekend left so we will see
