Cleaning up antlers

    So i had a portion of the skull removed with the antlers. How in the heck do i clean up the skull so I can hang it on the wall?

    Boil it in water

    or just scrap it off and clean it with hot soapy water.

    Boil it an use a scalpel or power washer to get tissue off

    The one I did I boiled and then scrapped the remainder out with a knife or small object. My brother fills up a container full of water and sits his in it outside and will change the water out periodically over the course of a few weeks. I've never seen it done or what he had to do to finish it but that's how he does his deer and gators.

    After u get the hide of to remove the rest of the tissue Put it in a cage or something were big animals can't get to it to drag it off and set it on an ant hill and the will pick it clean

    Thanks for the ideas guys. Growing up we had lots of ant hills in Louisiana and we would put skulls and turtle shells on them and let the ants have a feast. Not many ants here in Wisconsin. All great ideas. Thank you.
