There is no way to tell if a buck is the same between its first and second year without distinguishing marks or extremely unique characteristics. Dont kid yourself. Not to mention alot of deer in that age range relocate.
I agree. Those are two different deer. The differences I see are 1) the spread on the second seems to be wider, 2) the second seems to have both brow tines, and 3) the second deer's antlers don't seem to be leaning inward like the first.
I would say no but also very difficult to distinguish rack configuration from year to year. They can change significantly. I had a deer with 4 pts on one side and a main beam only on the other side three years ago. The next year, I believe the same deer, was a nice 8 pt. So hard to say but I will vote no.
