Looks like you have a nice area there Scowd. Hope you have some luck with that mock scrape also. I haven't tried one yet but I'm going to this year. Just to give an update on my season thus far. I went and hunted with my buddy whom is actually on another team in this contest as well. I shot two more doe, so my deep freezer is all full of meat at this point. Now I'm really just in search of a big boy at this point. I'll be in stand in the morning; moved a stand to what looks like a better location to me. I'll be sitting over a sugar cane field, so we'll see if there hitting that yet. I'll try and get some pics from stand.
Went out yesterday evening about 545 had 3 does come by at about 40 yards at about 700. If the wind holds it's current direction this evening I may move to my other stand (that they stood under for 10 minutes) this evening. Or I may hunt on the ground with my recurve in which case I will either kill one or spook them into the next county
Whacked! 1 of the 3 does turned out to be a fat button. I try to avoid that but I don't really care all that much. He'll eat good and still antlerless for VAs urban archery season. I was very unprepared this evening so my pics suck, sorry normally get good shots. I did make sure I got 2 for the scorecard.
Keep it up guys. I have had a rough start to the season thus far but hoping to turn things around Saturday. However, my buddy shot a nice one tonight and asked me to come help him clean it so it did feel good to finally get my hands in one.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm getting back out this weekend. Archery only season has come and gone with little hunting able to be done myself so far. Anyway the general season opend in about 8 hours and I'll get to hunt a little this weekend and then almost all of next weekend. Gonna try and squeak in some more days after that too but will be difficult with work. Just wanna get a decent buck and help the team score a bit! Hope everyone's season is going good so far.
Love the RPM 360! Very fast and has an awesome back wall. I can hold in full draw for what seem like forever if I need to. Smooth draw cycle too.
So far my Carbon Knight has been really good to me so I'm pretty sold on Bowtech products. Eventually I may look more seriously at the RPM or Carbon Overdrive but not needed......yet anyway.
Buck down!!!! Put one on our books boys!!!! Got a late kill last night just before sun down! Nice 3x3 that scored in at 97 5/8! Wasn't the biggest one in the bunch of 4 but certainly gave me the best shot.
