Well guys just got done putting that blind together. Didn't go too bad, only snag was ran out of supplied bolts. But being in shop just went and grabbed some. Seems like will work out pretty good and seems like it will be warm to sit in. Now just gotta get it out somewhere, probably this weekend.

Nice looking blind. I love the way those look in the fields with a few rolls of hay.

Yea this is actually first one I've owned. Place in planning on putting it has had hay bales sitting in field all summer so it should be just another bale to them. Friends dad was out there today picking some up though so by the time season rolls around this may be only one but I don't think it will matter.

Bad thing is I've got a bout 5 spots I could out it and I think would be successful. May just move it around some here and there though.

Great looking blind! I heard that you should flip the window covers to have it on the black side so the deer get used to it looking dark.

I have never hunted PA but I have hunted a lot in NY which is pretty similar. Western PA is generally better then the eastern side as far as deer goes. Where in PA are you looking at?

AT I was just wondering about the state in general for hunting. I have 3 years left until I retire from the Army, just trying to get some ideas on where I'd like to live once I'm back in the civilian world!

Well, the first sit of the year for my local spot in S.E. WI was promising. I get about 30 yards from my tree with my stand in one hand, and backpack and bow in the other to see 2 does standing 5 yards from my tree. The bolted. That was at 4:30 and at 5:40 a button buck walked around me for 5-10 minutes. He got a pass when I seen the 2 little nubs. I actually got to practice standing up and drawing back couple times without getting busted. I had a couple large crashes in the corn about 40-50 yards away but nothing came of it. Only seen 1 deer all last year on this property. Had a lot on camera but all at night.

I have also heard of people paint black squares on the other bales so that the one isn't different than the others. Check out NockOn TV, he did an episode regarding bale blinds

So, I owe everyone on our team a huge apology. In all of my excitement, I left my bow in the truck and did not have a single photo taken of me, the deer, and my bow.

Awesome buck! I think if you take a pic with the head and put these pics along with the one with your bow, it might be accepted. Either way congrats on the beautiful buck!
