Not sure if I'll be able to get out opening weekend. Ton of stuff going on the home front. Also, early season hunting for me is very much dependent on weather. I don't wanna risk a deer going bad on me if temps are too high.
My opening day is actually the 15th and runs through January 1st. I will be at school but should get to hunt the first Friday and Saturday of the first weekend. Should also get to check some cameras tomorrow or Friday and Dad also text me a little bit ago and said it is raining at home so my food plots are getting plenty of rain.
Hey Guys, Just doing an official bio/check in. My name is Brent I am from WI and this is my 3rd year in the contest. The 1st year my team was top 10 and last year we placed 2nd. My goal for this year is to beat my brothers team which is the back to back champs known as team 10. I grew up in Western, WI where I still live and hunt. Season kicks off here very soon. Hey dunn, welcome aboard. The land I hunt is probably just north of you- land is in Barron County. Getting some disappointing info from the land owner- seems the deer population is way down this year. Apparently the bad winter took a toll on the deer, and several bears have moved into the area. Sending some hunters out soon to take care of the bears hopefully. Not sure how this is gonna affect my season, guess we'll see...
Checked a camera today. Had a 8 point that came in a few times on there. He is the biggest that I have on camera so far for this year.

I'm going to try to get out this weekend to add a few bags of corn to one of my feeders. Next weekend I'll get out to set up at least 1 blind, and hopefully the other too. Then it's just a wait on the weather.
I have been bushhogging at the club all day and just finished what im going to do today. I am going to lake tomorrow morning to do some fishing and may go cut some shooting lanes out tomorrow afternoon when I get back.
No shooting today. I was busy most of the day prepping for my first youth group meeting of the year and our first AWANA's club on Tuesday. Now it's time to enjoy some NASCAR.
I had to travel for work so only dreaming about my first hunt when I return. Glad you guys are getting ready.
